clown question

I know that some people have said that you shouldnt put two different species of clown fish in a tank together

However I have a false percula clown fish, and am considdering adding a maroon clown fish.

Has anyone had luck mixing the two breeds?

I thought I did.
They were cool for about 3 months, lucky me right?
WRONG!
Came home one day and the maroon was going ballistic on my false.
Gave the false away, but maroon became mean to other fish as well.
I totally don't recommend it.

first off maroons hate other clownfish, very agressive. With that said if your tank is a large tank i know a few reefers that have had luck with a maroon and tomato clowns they just stay on their own side of the tank.

my main concern is that the maroon is larger than the false perc, so I think I'll avoid this matchup :)

Thanks,
