Clown + seahorse?

I'm running a 60 gallon set up and am planning on adding a pair of seahorses (either H. Erectus or H. Reidi) and was thinking about getting a clownfish now.

Is that a bad combo?

Is there one type of clown thats better than the others?

I've heard mixed things about clowns + seahorses.

Thanks!!

I ahd some occ. clowns and they never harmed the SH's but they intimidated them so the seahorses never really came out. I wouldn't do it.

I wouldn't recommend clowns of any species. Even though they may not directly show any aggression, their erradic movements and aggressive eating is enough to stress out the seahorses and make them feel not safe.

I have a Black and white clown in with my horse's and they get along great. The clown knows his place, she is low in the pecking order. When feeding the seahorses, i add some mysis to the water column for the clown, then direct most of it to the seahorses. The clown never bothers them.
Maybe ive been lucky. But, if you decide to go with clowns, dont get a pair...thats when they become very aggressive. My pair of Perc's are highly aggressive and i would never dream of adding any new inhabitants to their tank after the female killed a mandarin...let alone a SH! If my B&W gets aggressive, ill get rid of it but i dont see that happening :D
She was with SHs before i bought her which may have helped

I had an occi. clown that was getting picked on in my 90Gallon so I moved him into my 20Gallon Tall with a Hippocampus Reidi seahorse and they do just fine. They have been together for about 2 months I guess. I have heard the only problem would be, the clown is more of an aggressive feeder. So, I just make sure the seahorse gets plenty of Mysis.
