clown stealing food

my maroon clown an carpet anemones has a great relationship except every time i feed shrimp to carpet the clown will steal it away. the carpet doesnt seem to be suffering an the clown doesnt seem to eat the shrimp, just seems to hide it under the rocks. Is it likely that the clown feeds the shrimp back to anemone at a other time?

I doubt it. You may want to protect the anemone by covering it with something while it has a chance to eat.

try somthing different like a silverslide maybe? that is kinda odd, maroons take really good care of theyre nems. mine usually feeds the nem, then herself
