i have had a pair of black saddleback clowns for approxomatly 3 weeks and today i noticed the smaller one (not much smaller though) was swimming virtical with the face pointed down along the side of the larger one, the larger one was still swimming normal. is this normal, does it mean anything?

That's just normal clown submissive behavior. It's showing that it understands the larger one is dominant.

Yeah, mine did that behavior for a week, until one gave up and now you can clearly see who is now going to be the female (aggressive one) and the male (submissive one). Thats good, becuase they need to do that to pair up!!:D

my small clown is doing a weird spasm as well.. they have been in the tank now together for almost 3 months.. she almost killed him to the point that i had to target feed him because he couldnt come out of the rock without her attacking him
but he is still occasionally spasming right on her...
is it possible they will mate?
