Clown Tang

Sardaukar,my fish still appears to be growing although at a reduced rate than in the wild.In light of the article above I'm not convinced that he is seriously stunted. To be clear he does not "pace" the glass. He does use all the available space...swimming picking at the rocks...swimming,etc.
This fish does need Room...it is a swimmer.
I also think that aggression can be caused by too many fish in a tank and of course the type of fish.
I believe you should treat your pets as well as you can...so this fish in a 60gal? I don't think so,but it is your money.
In conclusion...Do I feel guilty about paying $40-$50 for taking him off someones lunch menu?....Not in the least!
Read the above mentioned paper provided by JamesJR....and open your eyes.

I agree with alot of what you say. Lets not get too moral about this. We are hardily in any situation to are we? Many fish die in transit before our tangs get to us. Think about that people. Lets concentrate on helping eachother enjoy our hobbies more and keep our livestock healthy!

Then again. If someone reads up on a fish that needs a 180g tank, gets told this on RC and then still goes ahead and gets one for his 50g(it then kills little nemo or spreads ich)-he does need a verbal slap.lol

You're right! I used and old Funk & Wagnalls international dictionary and it said:"to convert from centimeters to inches mutiply by 0.393".The conversion is right my reasoning was wrong.
