clown tank mates?

sup i have 2 true perc clowns in my 55 gal. im gonnna get a new 72 gal bowfront tank soon. could u keep 2 true perc, 2 black Ocellaris clown and a dwarf zebra lionfish in the same tank?

Only one pair of clownfish in a tank that size. Also if the lion is large enough he may be able to swallow the male clownfish of the pair or perhaps both. I had a fumanchu lion swallow my sixline wrasse that was almost as large as he was.

what if there was an anemone in the tank. will that keep the clown safe from the lionfish?

The lionfish will get him sooner or later if the clownfish is small enough.

hahahah ok my clowns are pretty small about 1"-1 1/4". is it normal for my clowns to always stay up top near the surface? they were tank bread and they always stay at the top near the surface of the water. the deepest they have gone is maybe half way down the tank and it was only for a few seconds.

I have two small Ocellaris Clownfish - Tank-Bred and two larger Black & White Ocellaris Clownfish - Tank-Bred. All four get along just find. They ever huddle up at night together. During the day they all are swimming information with my small school of Chromis. My aquarium is a 54 gallon FOWLR only. I have no Live Coral nor Anemones. Go figure.

Then they grow up and fight to the death to form a dominant pair.

you can keep 100 juvys in a tank. You cannot keep 2 adult females in a tank.

Im not saying its impossible . It is not the norm. especially in a 55 or a 72 .
