hello my clown trigger has had ich for more than a week now, he still eats like a pig and swims as if he had nothing, my question is should i let him fight off the ich by himself and develope an immunity to it like my piccasso trgger has, or should i put them both into a hospital tank..and can eels catch ich? thanks for the help

For a trigger/eel tank I would make the tank H2O perfect, feed food soaked in vitamins and garlic, or just garlic. I go to the super market, but a jar of minced garlic, chop in a blender and strain it. Soak food in a little for 20 mins. I have found that fish that fight off ich do develope and immunity and I actually look for these fish in the lfs and consider them a good addition once they have fought off ich. Good luck.

During the time that you wait for him to develop immunity, your other fish will likely get infected. If you don't have inverts in the tank, then start treatment with hypo or cupramine right away.

Since eels are a skin fish I would check to verify that you can use cupramine on eels. It is odd for a trigger to get ich so taking a close look at your tank would be your first order of business. Those fishes strong ability to fight off disease is one of the major benefits of a tank with those types of fish.
