clown vs. bristle worm

today i was looking at my clown enjoying watching him swim on my rose BTA. but i noticed that on his head and eyes and fins it looks like he has needles stuck to him. he actually looks like a porky pine! has anyone had this problem? or any idea if its even possible for the bristles off the worm to get stuck in the clown fish? hes an ocelleris (or however its spelt) clown. hes been eating and looks good except for all the bristles stuck to his face. if its not bristles, any ideas on what it could be?? any help is very much appreciated. thanks

Clowns are stupid. It often takes them several encounters with fireworms to realize they should't go after them - kinda like some dogs & porkypines. The bristles will drop off after a while.

I had one that liked to pick them up and move them around. I guess thats what you get stupid clowns from way to much interbreeding I guess. But it was funny to watch it. I swear if it could do it all day if there where worms out and about all the time.

No, it's called survival. Worm + Clown = Clown trying to eat whatever it can.

My clowns will continuously 'mouth' spinach leaves even when they know they don't like the taste. They 'mouth' bristle worms and mini brittle stars all the time. They hit blackworms and wax worms like they have not ate in 5 days. It's called survival, not stupid clowns from shallow gene pools. As for some posters', not the case.

That last sentence was unnecessary I hope you know.

And to answer the OP, yes your clown will be fine. The bristles will fall out with time.

lol these threads are often amusing to sit back and read. but thanks for all your input on this. the bristles did fall off a few days after. thanks again guys!
