I love your aquascape! Very well done. I'm glad to see you put netting over the top to keep those nice fish in there :) The tank looks great already, and it will be fabulous once it grows out a bit more. What did you end up doing for top-off?

Well you are going to laugh, but I'll tell you anyway. I'm still pouring fresh water into the overflow daily. I have all but the electronic timer and keep forgetting it when I go to the store. If only I'd ever remember to buy it I'd be in business because I know how much water to refill in a day and how long it takes my aqualift pump to replace it also.

Clowndude - I just realized after posting here twice that we have crossed paths on NanoReef.com. If my memory serves me right, you purchased a Media Basket for a Nano Cube way back when. At any rate, it's good to see the updates, great progress thus far.

Nice to hear from you. I think we talked about a skimmer for my old biocube if my memory serves me correct.

I bought one of these and really like it. Actually I have one of the RKLs and one that you linked to. Liked the RKL so much that I bought the upgraded one for my sump room. Only use it to moniter PH but it should be very good at controlling the calcium reactor also.

looking good, do you have problems with the coris wrasse burying corals with sand? I had this problem with melanarus wrasse so had to get rid of it.

Thanks for the compliment. Haven't has any issues with him doing that... Knock on wood.

Thanks for the feedback. Sounds like this will do exactly what I need then. Now I just gotta talk the wife into letting me buy it.

Hi,Nick, how are your corals doing? Are they coloring back up? You still dosing and using bio pellets?

Everything is coloring up nicely. I've noticed a few of the frags are getting color in their tips. I have a joes and blue tipped acropora that was all washed out, but I noticed today that they are getting colored polyps and blue in them. I havent noticed my paled out millis getting their color back yet, but I know they take quite a while to get their color back.

Few things that Ive done:

1- I did take the biopellets offline because it was kind of my last resort and I wasn't running that much in there anyway.
2- I just switched to Reef Crystals yesterday also.
3- I also got my own RO/DI Thursday so no more getting water fro the fish store. Something tells me they weren't keeping up with their water unit.
4- I got a really good deal on a Calcium reactor and now gotta order a few things to get it up and running like a maxijet 1200 and a ph controller. (leaning towards reefkeeper system)

Hopefully in a few months my tank will really start looking good.

Great to hear that things are getting better for you, definitely getting your own RO/DI will give you more control over what is going in your tank.
