\Clownfish/ 29 Gallon BioCube Tank

Here is the Xenia that I got from Craigslist. I'm not sure what type it is. It's really neat watching it pulsate and sway with the current. The Xenia also seems a lot happier than yesterday from the transport from the previous tank to my tank. I heard these type don't require food as they are photosynthetic am I correct?

Here is the tank today, as you can see I have diatoms everywhere (mostly on the rock) which the cuc is enjoying :lol2: I will get a better picture of the tank soon LOL :lmao:

I like my skunk cleaner shrimp ("Piere") as he sets up shop and cleans my fish and makes sure the rest of the food in the tank is clean. When I stop my powerhead for sump maintenance he jumps up there to clean it.

I acclimated mine and since you cant net them I used a rubber maid container to get him into the tank. I simply used the lid to the container to strain the water then hand lifted him into the tank.

You can QT them if you have fish since they could carry the ich on them but since your tank is fallow you dont have to worry about it.

Day # 22 (Almost a month!!!! :celeb2:)

Wanted to retake the picture of my Xenia, the phone just don't do it justice.

do they have any texture or can they be scrubed free with a toothbrush?

I would have said a sponge of some sort before seeing that pic. now I dont know.

Thanks for sharing!

Clown,

Thanks for sharing your build. BioCube 29 and other eqiupment arriving today. Rocks and sand tomorrow or Thursday. Once I get all of the gear, I will share my build experience with the group.

Been doing large freshwater tanks for years and have avoided saltwater due to time constraints. Kids are grown and soon to be out of the house (hopefully :fun4: )
