Clownfish acting different

I switched my lights from a MH fixture to an LED fixture(ecoxotic's panorama) and put some of their stunner strips in the fixtures. Everything is fine when all lights are on, but when I turn the fixtures off and leave the stunners on, one of my clownfish chases the other away. It never used to happen when I had my other fixture. The only difference that I can think of is how the stunners make the tank look like it has a black light over it instead of the blue actinics I had before. I don't know if the clownfish doesn't recognize the other one during this time or what? After the stunners go off they race to each other and go to their normal hang out to sleep. The light makes them look black and white at night.:sad2:

Sounds normal to me.They are a pair b/c they sleep together.Normally when they sleep together that is a sign they are a pair.Give them time.Clownfish do very crazy things and will do as they please as long as one clown isnt ripping fins and causing the other to bleed they should be fine!

Ive never had this happen.I woulod try feeding more and let them get used to each other.See if that helps.

I already feed pretty heavy and I'm pushin it with no skimmer. There's no problems during the day. I've had them since Aug. 09' so they should be used to each other. It's all good, nothing major has come of it. Just wondering why it happened. After lights go out they're as snuggly as can be

i actually experienced something similar with LEDs.

the clowns seem to react strongly to a situation where there is high intensity blue light and no white light to balance. dont know what it does to them but i know what you mean when you say it looks like a blacklight.

when i was testing out the features of my AI LEDs i freaked my fish out accidentally by turning it from 100% white to 100% blue and 0% white. they were glowing in the dark and started freaking out, first dropping to the bottom of the tank and kind of laying in the sand, then chasing each other and swimming around like they were crazy.

i guess it would freak me out too if all of a sudden the people around me were glowing in the dark too....
