Clownfish behavior

I got a pair of true percs that have been in my main tank for 2 days now. They pretty much swim in the corner of the tank, often only near the surface. I read on wetwebmedia that this shouldn't be something I should worry about. My question is whether or not anyone has ever had any clowns do this, and if so, whether they eventually began hanging out near the bottom of the tank? Seems a shame that they won't go near my LR and all the little caves and such I made for them.

They're just getting used to their new home. I wouldn't worry at all. Give them some time and they'll go exploring.

Mine hid in the back doing that for almost 4 months...

Don't worry - They will come out front sooner or later.

I wouldn't be concerned.

my one has been in my tank for over a year now continues to do that while the other one things its fine to host in a hairy green mushroom

Many clowns will adopt a location in the tank (often the corner) as a safety response in the absence of an anemone. In someone else's tank, a pair of A. ocellaris enjoyed hanging under the return pipe for years.

I have a mated pair of true percs and they still swim in the corner of my 72 bow in the upper region after a year and a half. They do a lot more exploration than they used to. I hope that when i get an anenome or two they may take to it.

my two did the same after a few days they started venturing out-At night they still like to go in the corner and swim up and down so i wouldn't worry about it at all they will come around eventually
Good luck!
