Clownfish flashing

And....... Ick is back, there are a few specs on the tang and one dot on my clown. The other clown and chromis seem to not yet develop the white spots yet. I pulled them out of the qt and going to redo ttm. Somewhere along the lines I probably messed up somewhere. Hopefully the second round of ttm will be a success.

Do you have chloroquine ?

Unfortunately I do not. However I'm hesitant with dosing chemicals again on these fish since they went through 5 rounds of formalin baths each to cure a brook outbreak about a month ago. I'm thinking about extending the ttm process to maybe 18 days and at least 6 transfers.

I also did drain and rinse out the infected qt tank that they were in. Is letting it dry for a week before setting it up again be enough to kill the ich cysts that were in that tank? I will be using new filter media once I get it set up again.

Silly me , I douse the tank with diluted chlorox ., rinse with water . Then clean with straight vinegar and then rinse and then let dry. I deal with only small fish so I have three 20gallons. One is in use , the second is ready and the third is cleaned and dry ready for the next treatment. I use white and black pvc elbows of varying sizes to givea sense of caves . I do FW dips in between transfers until they don't look happy then transfer them to the ready tank. I weigh out chloroquine in batches of lowest effective dose for 5 gallons increments. So when I transfer I add sufficient packets to treat. I do wait the 72hr time to transfer. The chloroquine should be effective on any hatching or dropping ich and other protozoans. I havent used the formalin yet. And will reserve it for the clowns if they do not look good after the initial 3 days. It's not perfect but I understand that the fish have gone thru a lot. Only goto extreme treatment if fish look really bad.
