I am just curious if anyone else has clownfish that host unusual things, I have one that spends 90% of its day in and around this shell, she will defend it from anything that comes near, kinda funny to watch. Post some pics of your weird clown

I have a clown fish that hosts a cabbage coral. In the moonlights he lays in the curled up cabbage coral and sleeps there all night. It is kind of funny.

For guys with clownfishes hosting in corals, do you notice any black spots (melanistic pigment)?

I know that zoos and frogspawns/torches sometimes cause that in the clownfishes they host.

The zoo in my city (Syracuse NY) the clown fish host a huge empty shell that the male actually swims in and the female lays eggs in the shell too. the shells is about 8 inches long ish.

my clowns get those black spots from being stung by the frogspawn they are hosted by. they've pretty much always had them though because before they were hosted by a condy nem.

Mine have hosted the magfloat, the power head, and now just the corner... My baby Onyx is hosting a duncan, it's rather cool to watch, he snuggles up in it and just naps.

I've got a false perc that will host on anything but an anemone...He hosts on the powerhead, the teeth of the weir, stick your hand in the water and he'll instantly start to host on your hand, and if it holds still long enough he even tries to host on my bangai cardinal which the cardinal DOES NOT like.
