clownfish hosting xenia

My two true percula clown fish have been hanging out in my xenia lately, which isn't too happy about them. If I buy an anemone will they choose to host that instead?

Hard to say, it seems like your clown fish wants to host something, so you might give it a try. However clownfish are really hard to understand sometimes lol, so there may be a chance it wont host.

I've seen them in toadstool's (which you're not having luck finding the one you want :P) and also in clams lol

My clowns love their Xenia forest. Xenia don't seem to mind. They are very hardy corals that grow like weeds.

Clowns will host a lot of corals. My Picassos are currently hosting a brain coral. You can try a nem. How long has your system been stable? I wouldn't recommend adding a nem to a system any newer than 6 months.....

oh I know I need to wait a few more months til i can get a nem. I'v had this tank up since march. they seem to be hosting my brain coral now

my clarkii's also tried to host my brain coral.... i thought it was funny looking....just put the nem some place they see it and they will probably host... i've found the tankbred species seem to take longer to host, but wild caught species seem to host faster
