Picked this pair up off a fellow reefer. He said they were like a clarkii but not.

Def not gaster. Id go for allardi but i have seen dark bicintus

No, but I don't think that bicinctus have the yellow at the base of the tail.

The combination of the big eye and the yellow bar on the tail (which will probably fade to a small yellow triangle) is why I said allardi.

the male is definitely clarkii. im still up in the air about the other one.

I agree the male is a clarkii, probably tank raised judging from the shape of the head.

So I have a nice clown and a retarted clarkii.

As far as its head shape it might have been stunted as it was in a 30 cube for most of its life.

All clowns can crossbreed, but they don't always for various reasons. Your's are part of the same subgroup of clowns which makes it more likely.
