Clownfish issue or paranoia on my part?

haha, i hope that it works, my quarantine is set up and i will transfer it over this evening. Hopefully it will pull through, i miss my energetic clown

i followed your advice of doubling the first dose, i will continue to monitor.... about when did you start noticing improvements?

ours are from columbus most recently... mine was healthy when i got it, got sick 2 months later. think it had to do with my poor husbandry skills. donno.... I was a newbie :D

Yes, Columbus. Mine still seems to be doing well. Ate two small batches of cylopheeze and some of Rod's food last night. I will probably re-introduce him Wednesday if all still looks well.

I assume I'll scoop him out, let him chill in a little container for a bit, then scoop him into the tank. I don't think much of this medication will make it in, but not worth the risk ;)

I wouldent stress to much. i fed both my fish maracyn2 and metrodazole on there food in my reef at one point. (paranoia, long story)
but anyway, they are both reef safe. you could run carbon in your qt for 1/2 a day before you move him too.

drop him close to the nem, maybe he'll notice ;)

my clown still is breathing heavily, he is alsmost resting on the bottom. i added the regular dose today, itsa ten gallon tank, so i added half a tablet. When should i see a decrease in respiration?

3 days about. you could add an air stone for extra oxegen.
it should be 1 full tab a day now after the first day....

It took a few days for mine as well.

BTW, he was doing GREAT last night, so he's now back with his mate in their sleeping area ;)

The good thing is, maracyn2 for saltwater contains nutrients which it will naturally receive even when not eating :)

I hope it works for you.
