Hi,
New to Reef central.
I have a mated pair of clownfish. Female is a Picasso and mail is an onyx.
They started laying eggs about a month ago and are pretty regularly laying every 11 - 13 days. They have chosen the glass cleaning magnet as their host.
I have tried a few times removing the magnet at 8 - 9 days into a hatch tank.
I was able to hatch a few, but even with live rotifer feeding they did not last more than 3 days.
This last time I left the magnet in the parent tank to see if any would hatch. Today is 12 days, and non have hatched. The water is cooler in parent tank at 76. Hatch tank was 82 degrees.
Would the magnet have any bearing on eggs not hatching?
Also, any recommendations on what else to try.
I am thinking of moving the pair to their own private tank and warm the water.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks
