clownfish mis-match

I bought two black and white oscellaris clowns several months ago from my lfs. For the first month they were fine and hanging out all the time and then one day the bigger one starts chasing the little one all over the tank ALL the time. Assuming the big one is the female and the small one is the male, the male started looking pretty bad after a day or two of this so I took him out and put him in a different tank for a couple of weeks hoping the female would settle down. Setting up this QT was a major pain because I didn't have any seeded filtration thus requiring me to do daily 50% water changes and I'm not making my own R/O water. Once I put him back in the display she started doing the same crazy chasing him all over the tank again so I immediately took him back out.

The male has been in a 5 gallon tank for a couple of months now and seems to be really healthy. Is there any chance of putting him back in the display and them getting along or I'm I just wasting my time and will have to end up tearing my tank apart trying to get him out again. I really like both fish so this sucks.

If I have to get rid of one which should I get rid of? The female is a pain but she's pure black, not even a bit of orange in the face, and nice and fat. The male looks good too but he's smaller (obviously) and has a bit or orange on the tip of his nose.

Here's some pictures to make this post more interesting ;)

Mine fought pretty bad for quite a while... We called it "the fight that never ends" Your choice is either make a commitment to leave him in and they work it out or he dies. Or you could trade one of the 2 in and get a different fish and try again. I'd probably put him in a breeder net in the dt for a week or so. Hopefully her hate will subside :) If you put him in a breeder net make sure you cover it. If she attacks the net when you aren't looking he may jump out because there is no where to go.
