Should i drain tank water into the qt? I wouldnt wanna stress the clown out with new water after a dip

You can do that or just match the temp,pH and salinity. But it really doesn't matter since if the fish has something he'll have to be treated.

Thx for the link, so by anti-bacterial antibiotics what labels should i look for? I added some prazipro when i did a waterchange yesterday by the way.

If it is brook I would fw dip for quick relief then carefully treat with a formalin solution. This worked the best for me when my clown had brook.

Hes been breathing faster today, his fin has healed but hasnt got its black color back? Everyone ate again, im gonna do the fw dip today.

So guys im thinking its not velvet since i saw a few pics on google, what else might it be? I dont think its brook ether...

Ok so i did a freshwater dip yesterday, had him in for 3 minutes and no effect . But afterwords once i put him back in the tank white specks apeared on his body! ( i dont know if it was from all the crap flying around after i had to take the rocks out to catch him or if it is a parasite.) could it be pieces of stuff getting stuck in his slime coat?

Did you ever dose the Prazi? What did the white specks look like? Were they all the same size? Large, small? Concentrated on a particular part of the fish or were they all over?

They are gone, today he was out in the open swimming around with his mate and is still eating. I havent seen them since that afternoon on any of the fish including him
