Clownfish pairing problem

So i have a small snowflake clownfish at the moment which had been paired with smaller black and white clownfish. someone in my family lifted the lid to the tank and the black and white ended up on the carpet. I decided to order a premium black snowflake to pair with and the site said they were 3/4 to 1 1/4 inch and i put a note for the smallest fish to be picked.
Well i received the black clown today and he's probably over 3 inches and dwarfs my snowflake. I have him in a breeder box right now but is it possible to have them pair? I know if my snowflake has become a female its probably not possible but he's only about 1 1/4 inch so does that mean its not sexually mature yet so probably not a female yet?

Clownfish pairing problem

An inch and a quarter is fairly small I really doubt it has turned.
Plus if you were adding a small to a bigger resident sometimes you get aggression until the little one does it's submission dance.
I think adding a bigger one to a smaller resident is easier to pair because there will most likely not be any territoriality. ( unless the little one's a badass... But rarely do when they see the size of the newcomer)

My opinion...

Under 1.5 inch they are hardly mature males and for sure not females.
To turn into females they need to be mature males first and need a submissive partner. Alone they can't make the transformation.

Thanks for the responses. I've got him in a breeder box for the moment and the snowflake is swimming next to the box most of the time without trying to bother the black snowflake. Only thing I'm worried about is if the black snowflake decides he doesn't like the little guy, he's about 2-3 times the size so he wouldn't stand much of a chance
