I bought 6 clownfish as a group and they never really ate well since I had them; spitting out at least half of what they try to take in. I noticed stringy white poop before but wasn't really alarmed. 3 days ago the smallest one died. The only thing I really noticed on it was the stomach was bulging a little but nothing huge. Another one's stomach is now a little swollen compared to the rest and it is staying on the bottom of the tank. I noticed this yesterday morning. I pulled them out of the display in the afternoon and began treatment with api general cure. Is this the correct route to go?

You can somewhat see the bulge on the one on the bottom. The pic was of the white stringy poop. The one on the bottom seems to not be getting any worse but not any better either.

I think General Cure will work. its a combination of a wormer an an antibiotic. My best gues is that the fish have internal parasites (usually worms).

I hope you have more than one tank for these fish. juvi clowns do well in groups; but once they sexually mature and form pairs, they won't tolerate any other clowns. Clownfish 101; Keep only one pair of clowns (any species) in a tank.

The one on swimming on the bottom didn't make it. It looked the same as the day before around 3pm. I came home from class and it was lifeless. I hope I treated in time for the rest of them.
