Today, I saw my smaller clown scratching on the heater like 3-4 times. He would also pick at it sometimes. I noticed he would also pick at surrounding rocks, and I've never seen clowns pick at rocks before. At first I thought it was ich, but I haven't added anything new and I've had this guy for about 5 months, the clown who I think is the female I've had for a year now.
He has stopped scratching now, but the clowns have been following eachother more closely lately, and the bigger one has been going deeper into the rock work for the first time, which she has never done.
Am I dreaming? Or is this a parasite?
