Clownfish Question

My Clownfish that I've had for a little over a year had a large brown / black spot on its bottom show up recently. Now there are smaller spots as well all on the bottom / belly area. All brown/ black. No other behavior changes / eating fine etc... It has been hanging out near / rubbing up against a colony of zooanthids recently.

I've read it could be a parasite or could be the zooanthids. How can I tell? When should I choose to take action medically? I am figuring I'd wait until I see other symptoms or see other fish infected. Is this correct thinking?

Thanks.

A picture would be helpful.
Though from your description I would assume the discoloration is caused by the stings or the poison of the zoanthids.
I would wait with treatment.

Here are a couple of pictures. Its been a few weeks. Its growing in size but no change in behavior. Thoughts?
