I have a clown fish, just one of the smaller clownfish- regluar one i don't know the species name but it is not the bigger clownfish, anyway, I have just noticed its eye is all puffed up on only one side and he seems to be swimming fine and eating and everything but what is wrong with it? Is he sick or have a diease?

Popeye should go away on its' own in two to three weeks, if you maintain prestine water conditions and good diet (mysis, spirulina flakes, etc).

I did get some antibiotics just in case it was something else but there is no bleeding and he seems to be doing better, for about a day he was not really moving much or wanting to swim but then he had a little bit of the midicine and it has been about 3-4 days and he is doing much better and seems to be recovering, thanks!!

only a 29 gallon with just 2 clownfish a small blenny and small pink dottyback and like some litte shrimp and turbo snails to keep the tank clean but its just a nano tank but i have had those clownfish for a long time and the other 2

your inverts will die if u do this treatment, but I have had luck in the past with Epsom salt to treat pop-eye. Let me know if ur interested in how to dose.

o well i already did the treatment, its too late and he seems to be doing great and if they do end up dying, i will just have to buy more i guess because i already added it.

I had a clarkii fish that got popeye all the time. I was told by the fish store, that if treatment is not done, the fish will lose its eye. That never happened. BUT, because of amount of times its eyes popped out... they stayed popped out.

In the beginning, I treated the tank for this condition. It never worked with medications. However, that good thing... I never lost a coral because of treatment neither.
