Clownfish Sleeping on Anemone

Hey guys, my ocellaris started hosting my bta today :celeb2: WOO!
But, my bta is attached to the glass, and the clown is sleeping in it. Is it stressful to the clown sleeping in the anemone because it is vertical?

Agreed if it was unhappy it would move. I've seen my clowns sleep literally facing straight up or straight down no problems. It'll be fine.

*Sent from my little corner of the reef. Nano nano!*

Awesome! Hes so cute in it, is it normal for them in the daytime to not be around it? He spent pretty much all night in it, but now he is just swimming around the tank

Anemone are a safe haven.... if he has nothing to hide from..... the open water is just as enticing.

My clowns spend 80% of the time day/night in their nems, but they have a magnifica so its a natural host. They are also WC, so they may stay in the nem more out of habit.

Yeah makes sense, there are no predators in the tank, btw what is WC? I thought it meant water change lol

Yes it is a tank bred, maybe thats why. As long as its happy i dont care lol. Got a nice picture today:

I am sooooo jealous. I don't think my clown will ever host my nem. I have been waiting for months. :-(

My clown took a day! Tank bred and raised, I was very surprised. As you can see in the picture I did tape pictures of clowns in anemones lol, maybe it helped, I can't say for sure, but try it. It won't hurt :spin3:
