Clownfish Spawning Question

Both my Snowflake and Picasso clownfish pairs have been furiously cleaning a spot on the rockwork for about a week now (seperate tanks). When a pair starts to do this, is spawning imminent, or are they just practicing?

I wouldn't guess either pair to be sexually mature, but what do I know.
Both pairs are around 9-12 months of age. Sizes 2-3 inches.

just practicing. you may have a few more months before the picasso's will be mature enough to actually breed. the snowflake's may be a month or two as they can become female around 14 months and male in as little as 10.
