Hi,
My female clown fish has what seams to be a swollen head. she is unable to close her jaw and her mouth is constantly open. her gills plates are as open as they can be and are unable to pulse. i can see that her gills are functioning. her eyes are also bulging out of her head. she seams to be swimming freely and is not being harrassed but im unsure how to treat her? There have been no new occupants to the tank for approximately 6 months so i cant see it being a disease, but any help would be appreciated. i have had the pair of ocellris for about 2 years, they are a mated pair and are constantly laying eggs, so they are deffinelty happy in there little world. also i can not see any visible signs of damage to her. aside from the mouth, gill plates and bulging eyes she is normal.
