Clowning around?

I just purchased a misbar black and white percula 2 days ago and made sure he was smaller than my other orange Occ perc, I understand that usually the large will take dominance and the smaller one will act submissive which looks like it is happening, then last night I saw the larger one take the new clown back bottom fin and latch on to it for about 20 sec and the new clown just accepted it and didnt struggle is this normal. Sorry for the long thread just worried.

Sounds like the perfect example of dominance and submission to me, I wouldn't be worried unless they started tearing eachother apart.

Yeah, unless there's actual damage being done (torn fins etc.) I wouldn't worry about it. The submissive male will often due a submission dance where they turn to a vertical position and shake its whole body at the dominant, kind of like it's having a seizure.

The new mis-bar clown is missing a tiny piece of his bottom fin
that wasnt missing when I bought him but both of them are always no more than 3 inch's away from each other does this
mean they will pair up.

That is a good indication. sometimes when first pairing occurs the female can get pretty rough with the male but as stated above he should turn to the side and "shake" his body vigorously. eventually it should cease and they will be inseparable
