When I buy a new BTA I get a small floating breeder for fish. It's small and cheap. Most pet stores have them. I put both the BTA and clownfish in there. The clowns are forced to swim in and around it. I leave them in there for a hour and ussually they get comfy in it
Does it help to enable BTA hosting if the tank size is smaller? The rock space I had planned to put a BTA on is the same rock space that my clowns like to call home and takes up half the tank more or less.
I'm hoping that if I can get a suitably sized BTA then they won't be able to ignore it?
Thanks for all of the comments and advice. Today when i got home from work it already happened. The smaller male is swimming and resting in the anenome. When i fed the fish he gathered a bunch and fed it to the nem. Also he is guarding it from other species of fish. The female doesnt seem to care about the nem thus far. Is that normal?? Thanks again
I was pretty ****ed off when I bought the hottest bubble tip I've ever seen and 2 months later they still won't go near it. Then I watch a YouTube video of a guy putting a bta in his tank and his clown was mauling it before it even opened up. I got a super sexy rose that has awesome color but my darwins won't even look at it.
My pair of clowns didnt host my nem for weeks unless one day i was fixing the torch they was hosting and the female decided to bite me. this cause a reaction and she ran right into the nem. every since then the torch has been so lonely.
