My newest clown isn't eating and I'm looking for any ideas. This is the third clown I have gotten, trying to get a mate for the one in my display tank. They have all been A. Ocellaris, and have been from different suppliers, but all do the same things. After acclimation, they go into my QT for the requisite time period. From day one, I haven't gotten any clowns to eat anything. I have tried Formula 1, Prime reef, cyclop-eeze, brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, and frozen homemade prep. Everything has been tried with and without being soaked in garlic first.
The first clown died of velvet (I suspect), the second from some sort of internal parasite/worm. This guy is swimming well, but just won't eat. I realize he has only been in the tank a little over 24 hours, but it is so similar to the other two, I can't help but think it will end up the same.
Water params are 0 for ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, Phos. Ph is 8.3. Alk is ~12 dKh. S.G. is 1.023.
Ideas???
