I have two clowns left in my system, a Picasso and a Wyoming White. The Wyoming is a female - the mated male jumped out of the system about a year ago, for me to find dried up. Not sure what sex the Picasso is, but he is named Nelly.
Anyways, I have never had anemones in the tank. The female has always hosted the red chalice. This chalice started out about 2" across, and now is almost 12". It is huge, and needs to be fragged.
The Picasso has started to host the elegance coral. In a previous tank, I had a much larger elegance that ate a clown who tried to host it, as well as other fish that were dumb enough to swim near it. I got rid of it after the 3rd fish it ate.
See attached pics.
Does anyone else have clowns that host non-anemones?
