Clowns preparing to spawn?

Hi all, I just realized that my black occellaris pair is pecking at the rock next to their anenome and inspecting the rock from time to time...

They are preparing the rock for spawning right? If I never remember wrongly, this is one of the behavior they will exhibit when spawning?

Anyone can let me know if my speculation is correct... Or i am imagining things?
