Clowns starting down a good path?

So as one of my first fish I got a ocell clown. 2 months after that I decided that I liked that one so much that I would try to pair it with another so I could have two in the tank. I got a misbarred ocell that is smaller and still a juvenile. They are about 2" and 2.5". I'm not exactly interested in breeding them, I just think it would be cool to have a matched pair in my tank.

From what I've read it is better to introduce a smaller one in the hopes that will become the male.

They fought a bit for the first few days but that has subsided mostly and now they swim together about 80% of the time although they typically don't sleep in the same area of the tank.

I'm guessing this is what you want to see, is that correct? They have been together for about a week or so.

Any input is appreciated. Thanks

I plan on upgrading my lighting as my tank matures a bit and getting them a nem maybe this summer or fall.

Sounds good

Sounds good

Sounds like their doing good as long as you dont see any violent attacks and missing chunks from fins. what you want to see is as one acts aggressive you should see the male kind of shimmy or do this little shake dance. this is a sign that its being submissive to the dominant female. With stable water perameters after 4 to 6 months you may see the mate. Good luck.:spin3:
