Clowns Stressing Anemone?

I recently added an anemone and another clown to my tank (two clowns total) and since i have, they havent left the anemone once. His tentacles seem to be getting thinner on some sides and some are pretty pathetic looking. Could these clowns be stressing my anemone? They are constantly sucking on its tentacles and picking at its base. If they are stressing it, is there anything i could do to help the poor guy? Thanks for any help

Yes, clowns can stress a newly placed anemone. This is especially true if it is a smaller anemone.

Go to the grocery store, buy yourself a pint of strawberries, come home and make some strawberry shortcake.

Now, take the empty strawberry basket and place it over your anemone so the clowns can’t get to it. This should solve your problem short term.

Isolated the anemone from the clowns but its still not doing well. All the levels are good except the Ph which is about 7.9. I know thats low but too low for an anemone to live in? Everything else is doing good and has been for a while now. Trying to fix the ph but nothing is really working. Any ideas on the anemone?

well, are you feeding the anemone? if you can get a picture maybe we can tell you if your anemone is hungry. what kind of light do you use? My clownfish used to be a little rough with my BTA but eventually stopped. Here's a good site about bubble tip anemones: http://www.karensroseanemones.com/. most the information here can probably be applied to any anemone in a nano. good luck!
