Clowns with oodinium?

Well, about 10 days ago I noticed little spots on my clowns. It was just a few and they were gone the next morning so I was told it was no big deal. Then, yesterday my clowns(a. perideraion) were covered in really small white spots again. My male was kind of going at the sand appearing to try to get them off. But I decided to wait to tomorrow morning(today) since they ate and so I could be sure since it turned out to be nothing the first time. Today, my clowns are breathing more heavily than normal but some of the spots arent as noticeable compared to yesterday. Their skin doesnt really look that great. The little guys nose area is kind of flaked and his overall color is a bit flushed. The bigger one is harder to see since he hides in the back of the tank underneath a rock.

Could be Brooklynella.. Are these wild caught or tank raised? Both are susceptible but wild caught Clowns are a bigger risk when it comes to this parasite.
Unfortunately Brook and velvet require different meds..Formalin for Brook, Copper for Velvet..Both are fast killers . Amyloodium [velvet] attacks the gills first so the fish is often to far gone to treat once the spots show up [its usually a 'powdering' or 'dusting' of spots. Its often only visible at certain angles and can be grey, white or gold]
Check this link, there are pics of Clowns with Brook....unfortunately no pics of Velvet

unfortunately all i could find are wild caught. i havent seen any pics of velvet but it looks like it may be a severe case of ick. its hard to tell right now since the lights are off but ill try to get pics up tomorrow.

If its brook don't wait get treating right away. I had a per die within 3 days. I used formalin and copper and cured my other perc.

it turned out to be ich. my cleaner shrimp got most of them off and the others came off too. they appear to be parasite free for now. im guessing itll come back and then the cycle will continue.
