My two ocellaris clowns developed popeye over the past 2 days. I originally dosed my tank with Red Slime Control on Sunday; only to have lost half my fish stock. I've done multiple water changes, turned on my skimmer and used carbon. But my 2 clowns and 2 hippo tangs are suffering. The hippos have apparently fin rot. They do eat but not the clowns. I believe they are blind. I have since moved them to a qt.
From reading, both conditions are caused by poor water quality. I've done approximately 30% water change and am afraid to continue as maybe my salt/r.o. mixing tank may be contaminated.
My corals are all in excellent condition.
I'm out of ideas as to what is causing my fish to deteriorate.
Any ideas??
