Club dues

I joined the club last Fall, and I believe that I joined for a full year.
Will we get notices when our dues are due, or, are they all due at the same time?

It didnt even cross my mind it was time to renew. I could have payed at the frag swap. Guess I was too busy tryin' to buy other stuff. I don't think I'll be makin' the meeting this month so, I'll just have to paypal my payment.

I payed online with my credit card through paypall yesterday. It was very quick and easy. So if some of you can't make it to meetings, keep that option in mind.

I tried to limit it to two different due dates so we didn't have memberships ending at all different times of the year. The renewal months are January and July. What I was trying to do was simplify things by having two dues-$20 for a year (if paid between January and June, it would keep you current through January of the next year, but after June, $20 would have you current through the next June-$10 if only wanting to cover membership any time from June-December). it is renewal time. Paypal works best (even though they take $.88 per $20...).

gary or jack, i became a member august or so maybe (sorry hazy memory) and i recieved a letter with my card stating that i was a member until june or i could recieve a 10 dollar credit if i wanted to cancel in jan. well, obviously id still like to be a member but i need a new card through june (unless i misunderstood the letter and need to repay) i tried to use the card at the critter today and was DENIED i didnt realize it expired in jan. if it wasnt too much trouble could someone check out my account and let me know either way. i dont care if i need to repay dues, im just confused on how to stay current. thanks!<~~~steve

Oh I hate that you was denied today! I am surprised they looked that close but I guess anyone who ever had a card from way back could still be trying to flash it......

Thanks for pointing that out, Steve. If I'm elected we'll definitely take a look at the membership card thing. I believe coralreefing (the current pres) should have mailed you out a new card at the beginning of the year. What I think we might think about doing in the future is have all memberships due in Jan, and if you purchase after June 30, you'd just get a 6-month membership (for $10). That would make it very clear. I also think I'd look into working out a way to communicate with the LFSs who is current because I do think they get taken advantage of at times. Sorry you got denied this weekend at the critter.

They turned a purchase down over 10 percent, I would have gotten upset. Lose a sale or still make a good profit minus 10 percent, does not seem to make much sense.

well i only spent 20 bucks so i wouldnt be saving that much yesterday but, on the other hand my wife had one of those viper clip on lamps for her small tank that she put back after we realized it was expired. the discount is not that big of a deal, i just like to show my card so they see the club supports the lfs. i usually go exclusivly to emerald bay because sean REALLY takes care of us but we were in the area with the in-laws and they wanted to see the caimans........ anyways enough rambling, ill just order the light through sean <~~~steve

You do show current through July, 07. Chris printed the cards last week, so they should be on their way out to everyone. Sorry for the rejection...
