Club input needed

Phil I think this would be well worth our while as a club to join. The MASNA is all that we stand for and I have read threads elsewhere on their annual conferences and stuff. They have big name speakers at their conferences such as Bob Fenner, Anthony Calfo and Eric Borneman all well known names in the hobby. I think it would also give our small club credibility and some guidance for future developments.

We have done nothing with it yet, it is something to bring up at a meeting or two though and get some input on.

50.00 bucks a year, And what do we get for that? besides being able to post on there site and get information!I can do that on other site all ready for free.

Is it fifty bucks a year for members? Or is it fifty bucks a year for the club to be a part of the forum?

Its a per club fee, not a per member fee if I remember correctly. We did talk about this in the past, and even addressed at a meeting or two if I remember correctly. I am not 100% sure what we get out of it as a club though. We need to make sure it is worth our time and money to become a part of this. I know that they use a lot of their money to put back into the hobby itself.

I also know that if you want your club to be able to host a MACNA event, you have to be a member. As cool as I think it would be to have our club host one of these, that is years down the road if at all. Our club is still small compared to others, and we don't have a lot of resources to work with as of yet. But some day for sure, it all just takes time.

I think the money would be better spent on the members for now. We are no where near beong able to host a macna event. Maybe whene the club is strong enough we could become members to it then and then worry about MACNA and all that goes with it. Just my TWo cents.

That is what I was thinking. Unless we get some killer sweet stuff for becoming members and not just allowed to use the logo on our site

I have to agree also, we are small potatoes compared to some clubs. Someday maybe. I think that they give some support to clubs and have a literature library etc. Not necessarily stuff we are in dire need of at this point. They were helpful in advising us on how to go about incorporating etc.
