Since the TBRC did donate to the CMA last year I received this email in regards to a Coastal Cleanup which the TBRC has not done in a long time. Who is interested and maybe want to get a group together?
Hello friends of Clearwater Marine Aquarium,
Thank you for your continued support of CMA and our Educational
Programs. This year, CMA is hosting the annual Spring Coastal Clean-Up
with the help of our friends at Keep Pinellas Beautiful and we need your
help! This amazing opportunity to contribute to our work in marine life
preservation is taking place on St. Patrick's Day - Saturday, March 17,
2012 - from 8:30am to 11:30am. This will be the first event of our
month-long Earth Day Splash celebration. We will have themed
refreshments, as well as clean-up supplies for all volunteers! The only
thing missing is YOU! Come on out and take part in "Go Green with
Winter & Friends!" There is no cost to participate, and for every bag
of trash, your group will receive a free general admission pass to CMA
to visit Winter and her other rescued pals.
Please feel free to contact me for more information, as well as RSVP
your school group, scout group, or individual so we know to expect you!
Help us make this annual event a success and prevent marine life
injuries, like those sustained by many of our resident animals. Also,
feel free to print out the attached flyer to hang up around your school
or community center to show your support for CMA.
