CMAS proudly welcomes Mark Vera of Phtyo2! Mark will be talking about "Adding Refugium to your Repertoire" benefits and building a Refugium. We will also have as a raffle prize, 4 64 oz Multi-Packs of Phtyo!

Mark Vera has been keeping marine aquariums for 19 years during which he has worked in most capacities of the aquarium industry. Part of his various personal and public research projects Mark spent two years breeding H. reidi and formerly had the opportunity to serve as President of MOFIB (Marine Ornamental Fish & Invertebrate Breeders Association). Being an active Divemaster, Mark travels extensively diving lakes, rivers and oceans throughout the world and is a regular aquarium diver at the John G Shedd Aquarium. Between travels Mark owns and operates a specialty aquarium installation and service company and contributes to "The Journal of Aquatic Science." Mark is also the creator of the Phyto2 and Zoo2 live plankton product lines and continues research on the value of Plankton in the captive aquarium as well as refugium and natural filtration design.

Membership is $20/year with a special discount of $30 for 2 years if you pay for both years in advance.

You can sign up at a meeting or via our website in a couple of days. We are literally in the middle of updating the website to have an online membership section. You will be able to join, renew and update your information by logging in to our website and pay directly with a credit card. This will be live in the next couple of days.

Who's going to the meeting on Saturday? I'll be there. I'm really excited to hear Mark's presentation on refugiums.
