That's what I keep hearing, but I haven't seen that email.

Jane, I'm so sorry that you did not get the email. I have corrected the problem!

I must have been bumped off the email list. I used to get emails. Haven't gotten one in months. Do you have to be a paying member to get them?

What about the folks without email? I haven't sent out a notice to them since the beginning of the year. I was assigned that job a while back & wasn't aware I was demoted or anything.

Over 50% of the members aren't paid up. Are all of them not getting emails? I'm paying today. How are folks supposed to know when their membership have expired?

Maybe this is an item to look into. I've received a letter in the mail everytime my membership has been up for renewel. In addition, your current membership card should have an expiration date on it.

Please mention this at the meeting this afternoon.

I wonder who's doing the mailings? I would also like to know if the non-computer members are getting any info about CMAS. It wasn't a fun job but I enjoyed participating to help more members stay "in the know". There is a section at the bottom of our membership application to check about recieving snail-mail.

Boyd :)

Thanks, Boyd! Not sure I'll make it to the meeting today. It all depends on whether the bricklayer I hired to reface my fireplace shows up for work today. He's already 2+ weeks behind schedule, so if he does show today, I can't afford to send him away. He's not here yet...;)

Were is this 50% arent payed up coming from,... BOD stats? Not the fist time Ive seen you state that.

Or is that an estimation of how many folks that use RC CMAS forum arent card carrying members? If so thats irrelevant. I get the impression that lots of people on this site arent really all that into the membership/voting/raffles/discounts/atteding meeting stuff and dont care. But if you do care, you gotta keep current. Its the only way you have an expectation being included. After all its a club for a big area/market.

Your statement about 1/2 the members not really being member, unless backed by statistics, is lame...

That being said, I wish I could attend this afternoon and vote, but my wife and I are going to Milwaukee for Widespread Panic tonight....Rock!

Have a good meeting guys, and vote your mind.

I was told by a reputable source that this is what Boyd told him. Don't you have to be paid up, to be a card-carrying member? What's the difference?

I'm really not trying to stir up trouble here--just wondering why I was singled out about this. If John gets emails when his membership is due, why not me?

Is voting on these new regulations the only agenda topic for the meeting today?

I’m new to salt. I’ve never been to a meeting, so I’m not a member.

Thought I might attend a CMAS meeting today to see what typically happens at one.

Why doess it seem that thse discussions are always centered around Pufferpunk? Seems each time an issue with CMAS is put on RC, you have to be the center of attention for it.

You know fully well that you are not a card carrying member from the last meeting when you decided to "AIR" out your dirty laundry in a completely disrespectful and unprofessional manner. Being a supposed helper of CMAS in the past, you should know that paid in full members are the only ones to recieve these notices. Whether it be by Email or postal mail. You not being paid in full, are not considered a "MEMBER" per the requirements of CMAS.

The meeting last month was beneficial for many until you had to bring up issues that should have been discussed in private with the supposed offenders. The benefit of the meeting was spoiled after having to listen to you disrespect club memebers. Not only the person you called out, but you disrespected each memeber of CMAS with your antics. Not to mention that you were not even a member at the time. Why were you there again? This is not the first time I have seen you do this to people in public. It's a shame that you do not posess the common courtesy to bring your concerns whether valid or not to that individual in private before going public.

It's indiividuals like yourself that make others not want to partake in what should be a fun and educational club.

Although am not able to attend today's meeting, I hope the issues at hand will be resolved.

These are the issues that should be resolved at the cmas site. That is why we have it, this stuff doesn't need to be aired on Reef Central.
