I dunno, BOTRs super-southside swaps have always been lots of fun and well attended too. Plus there is always beer for that super combination of coral and low impulse control.

If I had something to sell I would but I am just getting going, I wonder if the recent mass exodus from the hobby lately is affecting the seller?

Yeah kinda interesting how some folks are getting nuts with the hobby (10K gallon tanks, super rare fish and corals, greenhouses etc) and others are bowing out totally. I wonder if we are seeing some folks just leaving because they are burned out from the intensity? Or is it just ca$h that is the issue?

Well, the only way I can stay in the hobby is to sell/trade frags. The wife puts a net $0 limit on my spending although she did buy the current tank and stand.

I have seen this before. In the past, what changes is their lifestyle. The change is having kids, job change, divorce, and moving. What I have seen in the past is the old names eventually get replace with new ones, and some of the old ones return after a year or so. In the last club I was in that happened, I check by once in a while and see all these new names that were not there before. There are only few still posting that I know, even some of them were out for a while. This club is just in a lull right now, I think you will see new people start trickling in the up coming months. And I hope they all live in the SW burbs!
