Coaxing out a starfish (pics)?

Well I was examing my sump, and I saw something sticking out from of the holes of a piece of live rock. I transfered the rock to my display tank and snapped these shots the other night.

It is clearly a starfish...and not own that I know I owned ;-)

The issue is that I want to move this piece of rock back down to the sump as it makes the rest of my rockscaping look bad (long story). Is there any chance that the starfish will eventually move out of this piece entirely...and occupy a different piece of live rock? Are there any tricks to encourage him to come out?

Thanks...

large pieces of krill from the looks of it it looks like a serpent star mine does the same thing however at night thats when he goes out on the prawl so hit your lights wait a bit throw out some food for him to go after and see if he comes out
