Aquascape question?

I don’t believe you’ll get any spike if you break it open. You’ll just have a large white area on the piece you break.

That said, if it was me, I’d go for the two island look and take out the middle piece with the trumpet/candy cane. But it’s ultimately what you like.

I agree with this^. I prefer a litte sand (negative space) in the middle. One side of the rockwork should be larger than the other side if possible.

If you can figure a way to place it on the right, that’s what I’d try. But, I’m terrible at aquascaping.

My only thought, (because if I recall this is an AIO right?) would be to take a sledge hammer to it, and break it into pieces to stick in one of the rear chambers.
