I have always used the liquid befor but they had the powder at the LFS this time and the guy talked me into it. Told me to individualy mix it in a cup of water and add to my ATO a few mins apart like I was the liquid.. I did that and my ATO just kicked on and poof!! My tank is cloudy!!! My ATO is a cheep DIY kit that I have hooked to a maxijet 600. It usually fires about 2 cups of FW into the sump when it turns on. When I added part B I just bumped it in, gave it a quick stir and put the lid back on. Looking at it now it's very cloudy in the top off bucket! Is this a big problem?!? I'll dump this water and get clean RODI now but how do I avoid this in the future?

I should probably add that everyone in the tank is acting just fine. Corals and nem are looking the same and fish don't seem to mind at all.

You shouldn't ever add both parts to the ATO. They'll precipitate if they mix like that. Add them to the tank in a high flow area. I'm sure what happened is that they precipitated in the ATO and then the fine calcium carbonate produced got blasted into the tank when the ATO kicked on.
