Coexistence of Chaetomorpha and Gracilaria?

I converted an AquaClear 500 HOB into a refugium some time ago, and recently put a 4" sand bed in there. I went out and purchased some Chaetomorpha and he offered up a wad of Gracilaria for no additional charge.

Since Free is a price i'll pay any day, I decided i'd either use it, give it away or toss it. I'm at the first of my 3 choices

I put the Chaetomorpha in the fuge, and put the Gracilaria in a large filter bag for easy removal should I need to. Can I keep both of these macroalgaes in the same fuge, or will they constantly battle it out?

I keep both together along w/sargassum and no prob.
BTW, gracilaria likes good flow, prob. won't do well in any containment.-Jim
