I had one hitch hike in, im sure its collonista, is it safe? Its veryyy small and has a weird shell with red dots and brown on the end, but im 99.9% sure its collonista just want to be sure its safe
Mine looks exactly like this, two antenna feeling ahead of its body, tiny mouth, and 2 black dots i assume are its eyes. The shell on mine is diff color though its red polka dot and the tip is brown
That shelly operculum is a pretty good hint. Only the turbinids have them. If yours has the white "pearl" closing off the aperture, it's not a sundial, and is safe.
Unless it's a Tiger Collonista, of course. They been known to eat corals, other snails, echinoderms, crustaceans, rockwork, plastic, glass, acrylic, etc. If you have those, you'll probably want to remove them (assuming you still have a tank).
