color of skim ?

Did a simple DIY wooden airstone Skimmer. Is this skim as dark as normally removed with airstone? And I'd just did 80% waterchanges before I set it up.

no, airstones can remove black tar.

But wet skimmate is typical with small skimmers. Raise yours up higher if your want it dryer.

Here it is in a glass. I lifted the tube and added another pump to the line.WHOA!! It really took off. I had it all the way open with one pump now its really cut back bit way better. Ill get a single pump later.

That skim i still pretty like in my opinion, how does your skimmer get new tank water intoduced into the tube?

There's holes drilled on the bottom cap.
