color off on macro pic

This is a pic of my raspberry limeaids. It looks very washed out. The colors are really bright in person. Is there a way to capture the true color? I was using a canon xt with a canon 100mm macro. No flash. I had the camera set on av mode.

This is a pic taken with my brothers point an shoot camera and the colors in this pic are perfect. I don't understand. Both pics were taken under the same lighting.

Any help would be great. Thanks

Looks like your photo is just a tad overexposed. Try setting 1/3 or 2/3 of a stop negative exposure compensation. You can't do that in any of the scene modes so try aperture priority and compensation and see how it looks.
